Mountain biking in Bled

Bled in Slovenia is around 50 minutes away by car. We have chosen a mountain bike tour of around 70 km and approx. 1200 m elevation gain. We cycled directly from Bled along a wonderful cycle path towards Lake Jezero. On the way there, we came across one of the most beautiful and idyllic waterfalls (see picture), with crystal-clear but ice-cold water straight from the mountain. Lake Jezero is a great place for a stopover and a swim in the lake. The whole area is simply beautiful and we are accompanied by a pleasant sense of calm. We choose the way back via the Pokljuka plateau. A long climb is rewarded with what is probably the most beautiful plateau in Slovenia. It is simply incredibly beautiful and incredibly quiet. With breaks, which you absolutely have to take to “feel” this beautiful area, it is a day tour. A tour that calls for repetition …
